EESC is composed by 344 members representing organised civil society in the member states: business and employers, trade unions, agriculture, consumers etc. EESC is the voice of these actors and expresses opinions and recommendations to the European Commission and the European Parliament.
There are nine Finnish members and two of them represent EK:
Ms Ulla Sirkeinen, Former Head of EK's office in Brussels, (ulla.sirkeinen@ek.fi) and
Mr Filip Hamro-Drotz, Senior Adviser, (fillip.hamro-drotz@ek.fi).
EESC was established 50 years ago, 19th May 1958.
BUSINESSEUROPE is the main channel for EK to have its voice heard within the EU.
